PPP3 // MODULE EVALUATION

PPP for me this year has been a lot different from level 4 or 5. I think this is due to the fact that we are all leaving university and need to actually get off our arse and start to think about our future. This drive wasn't there in level 4 or 5 as we knew we were coming back again in September. However, this year It was time for me to really think about my future. For me, that future is further education, ever since coming to uni, I knew I wanted to go on to do masters in a subject relating to user experience. It's an area of design that has stuck with me since my apprenticeship. User experience and digital design in general, are the only areas of design that give me pure pleaser and purpose. It doesn't matter about the money, as long as I feel as if I'm doing real good for someone else then I'm always going to follow that urge. In regards to masters, I set my goal really high. I was being a snob and wanted to attend a really good uni that had one of the best courses for HCI in the country. I set the bar high and I somehow managed to get into UCL, a Russel group uni who are ranked #15 in the world! I think to this day this is my proudest moment.

Self-identity has been the biggest challenge for me in PPP. I find it extremely difficult to stick to one identity for long enough. The problem is that I can't design for myself. I get bored easily and I'm very harsh on myself so I quickly move onto something else if I get any doubts. But, my current branding 'for you the moon' is what I'm sticking with for the moment. I can imagine it being changed within a year but that's not down to being bored,  I think by me proceeding onto my masters, my opinions, processes and overall career direction will end up naturally changing and so will my branding. PPP has been great for me this year. I've always found it annoying and irrelevant but I understand the importance or putting yourself out there, attending conferences and talking to people and studios and these will undoubtedly expand your knowledge of topics around your area of specialism. 10/10 for PPP this year!
