Studio Brief 1 - Studio Research | MING Labs

One area which I'm interested in within graphic design is User Experience design, commonly know as UX/UI Design. I love the involvement and the in depth understand of whats needed to create a flawless user experience from point A to point B.

I wanted to look at companies abroad to widen my horizon. At the moment Amsterdam and Berlin is where the hub for graphic design is located. However I will be looking at different countries, which i have previously been to and would love to go back to, like Poland.

"We are MING Labs. We design and develop software applications, mobile user experiences and data visualizations. Our global team has a strong passion for innovation & future technologies,"Ming are a UX focus company, who have offices in Berlin, Shanghai and Munich. The reason for my interest is due to the first impressions of the company through there beautifully crafted website and online portfolio of work.

This is an example of Mings work. Designing for a company called Flightlink, producing a cockpit flight recorder app.

Designing for Jens Lehmann on his personal website. So designing on all platforms. Trying to represent all of Jens qualities without focussing to much on his football past. 

I then reached out to MINGLabs to enquire if they had any internships for the summer .

Below is the email in which i sent.

Trying to stand out from the very start by having the subject line as "To the best UX Design Company in Europe"

Even though they never had any positions open for summer, I still received a reply, which is kind of bitter sweet.
